My name is Buntu Francis Hweshe. I’m a film director, photographer, and writer. Welcome to Second Republik Media.

I believe in the power of a well-told story. Since 2007, I’ve dedicated my career to capturing and shaping narratives across Southern Africa—from the newsrooms of Cape Town to film sets of Johannesburg, back to the vibrant heart of my hometown, Harare. I’ve seen how the right story can build a brand, define a moment, and connect with an audience on a profound level.

This journey revealed a unique opportunity: the need for a media partner that truly bridges the gap between industry insight and creative vision.

That’s why Second Republik Media operates on two parallel tracks.

First, we serve as a dedicated B2B media partner to various sectors and second, we are a full-service creative studio. We harness the same storytelling expertise to capture life’s most important personal and commercial moments—from professional headshots and product launches to weddings, music videos, and brand films.

Our bases in Harare and Johannesburg are intentional. Harare is our foundation, offering deep local expertise and exceptional value. Johannesburg is our gateway, providing access to world-class production resources and a pan-African aesthetic for clients aiming higher.
